    A : Ideally after every meal (caution: Overzealous brushing with faulty brushing techniques leads to abnormal tooth wear).Our office recommends twice a day. Morning and night.

  • Q : How often should I have my teeth cleaned professionally?

    A : Ideally, 3-4 times a year. Our office recommends at least twice a year.

  • Q : What does it mean when my gums bleed during brushing?

    A : This is a sign of early disease of tooth supporting structures and needs to be treated. The bleeding gums are a sign that the irritating build-up of debris and plaque from under the gums needs to be removed.  If left untreated, this condition leads to tooth loss.

  • Q : Will oral health affect general health?

    A : Yes. Certain conditions of the mouth on occasions may lead to infections of major organs such as heart, lungs, etc. It is important to regularly have the mouth checked for signs of abnormality for they may be the initial manifestations of general disease

  • Q : Will dental treatment hurt?

    A : NO. Dental treatment can be extremely comfortable. Dentistry has advanced to the point that most treatments can be performed with very little or no pain at all.

  • Q : If fillings are required, will they look metallic?

    A : Not necessarily. You have a choice between silver fillings/ tooth colored fillings. Our office also renders services for Tooth colored fillings.

  • Q : Is it possible to make my teeth whiter?

    A : Yes. Our office renders services for professional tooth whitening and other modes of  aesthetic enhancements. However, the treatment have their own limitations.

  • Q : Is bad breadth Treatable?

    A : Yes. Bad breath that is entirely due to local oral causes can be efficiently treated by the dentist. (It must be kept in mind that there are several other general causes that could result in bad breath).

  • Q : Is abnormally sensitive tooth treatable?

    A : Yes.  Treatment of sensitive teeth and its outcome how ever, depends on the cause of the sensitivity. (causes of tooth sensitivity are too numerous to cover here).

  • Q : Why Are X-Rays Important?

    A : It is impractical to do a complete examination, especially on a first visit, without radiographs (X-Rays). A short series of radiographs are taken prior to the examination. If the dentist feels that more radiographs are required for a specific situation or for a more accurate diagnosis of a more serious dental condition, the dentist will discuss this with the patient beforehand.

  • Q : Why not pull out the tooth?

    A : A quick fix now may lead to problems later. It is always best to attempt to restore teeth than try to replace them. Nothing can measure up to natural teeth for function. However, teeth that are totally beyond repair should be extracted. (Remember, dentures do not replace your own teeth.)

  • Q : Why Is It Important To Replace That Tooth ... It's Been Missing For Years?

    A : Replacing the missing tooth will restore the area to proper function. Over time, the teeth on   either side of the space may tip over or drift into the space. This can cause difficulty with a person’s chewing.

    A : Yes. Our office follows strict hygiene, disinfection and sterilization protocols by means of  autoclave, , Glass bead sterilizer, Chemical disinfectants, & Disposable items (syringes, pouches, aprons.. etc) .
